Today we began a new project called Pinwheels for Peace. This project was shared by Mrs. Kamp, the Middle School art teacher for the Lower School art students to contribute to this special day on September 21st. Class started with the students sharing what they thought the definition of peace is. We read Leo Lionni's child-friendly story which discusses how six feisty crows and a farmer resolve their issue through using their "magic" words.

Be sure to click on the "Location" tab"! You will see a map of the world with tons of red arrows indicating where pinwheels will be displayed on 9/21. You can click near MD, and continue zooming in a little at a time, until you get to Baltimore and even to street level. Eventually you will actually see Calvert School!
